CCC First Anniversary Celebration
July 21, 2004
CCC honors Chicago cabbie William Bundy with its very first
Driver of the Year award at its spectacular one-year anniversary
celebration. Representatives from the CTA's Mobility Direct
program, along with other Chicago civic leaders and a number
of CCC cabbies were on hand, as Bundy placed his handprints
and signature in cement to inaugurate CCC's new "Walk
of Fame." CCC owner Simon Garber praised Bundy for 'going
the extra mile' and setting a wonderful example for other
drivers.

Bundy, 52, drives a specially
equipped van six days a week for Mobility Direct, which
provides round-trip taxi service to disabled passengers.
His passengers count on his courteous service and reliability.
Guests at the gala event enjoyed a tented outdoor picnic
at CCC's beautiful 50,000-square-foot headquarters. The
ballpark style picnic celebrated CCC recently becoming
a proud sponsor of the Chicago Cubs. Guests were entertained
by the strolling Chi-town Dixie Stompers. |
